Wild boars invade Banda Pir Khan areas, residents demand urgent action

Locals have called on the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to address the situation.

According to details, environmental changes in surrounding areas have forced wild boars to move closer to human settlements, leading to a sharp increase in their presence in Banda Pir Khan. As a result, farmers are suffering heavy financial losses, with crops worth hundreds of thousands of rupees being destroyed.

The situation has made both agricultural land and residential areas unsafe. Attacks by wild animals have become routine, and residents are forced to remain indoors after nightfall due to fear. Despite the alarming rise in incidents, the concerned departments have yet to take any practical steps.

Local residents stated that the population of wild boars has increased significantly over the past few years, posing a serious threat to both livelihoods and safety. They have urged the district administration to take immediate action and implement concrete measures to protect the community from further damage.
