A woman has been arrested and sent to jail after allegedly killing her four-month-old son in a tragic incident in Hazro, police sources confirmed on Wednesday

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) A woman has been arrested and sent to jail after allegedly killing her four-month-old son in a tragic incident in Hazro, police sources confirmed on Wednesday.

According to police, the accused identified as Sheeba Bibi, a mother of three, allegedly threw her infant son, Muhammad Ayub, onto the ground in village Wessa, within the jurisdiction of Rangoo Police Station, on Tuesday evening. The incident reportedly occurred following a domestic dispute with her husband, Muhammad Mehtab.

Police said the matter came to light after the infant’s father lodged a written complaint and post-mortem findings confirmed that the child’s death was caused by fatal injuries consistent with the alleged act. A murder case has been registered against the woman under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Authorities confirmed that the accused has been taken into custody and further investigation into the incident is underway.
