Woman electrocuted

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2026) A 50-year-old woman was electrocuted after coming into contact with a live 11kV power line near Anmol Hospital in Muslim Town, Lahore, on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122, the emergency control room received a call reporting the incident, following which rescuers rushed to the scene.

Rescue officials said the woman, identified as Iram Umar, 50, was reportedly struck by electricity after an 11kV overhead power wire snapped and fell onto the road.

Upon reaching the site, rescue personnel found the woman dead. The body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Further investigation into the incident was underway.
