Woman killed, five injured as van catches fire

A woman was killed and five others sustained injuries when a passenger van caught fire in the Ghotki area of Sindh on Wednesday

GHOTKI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) A woman was killed and five others sustained injuries when a passenger van caught fire in the Ghotki area of Sindh on Wednesday.

Police said initial reports said the van was bound to Raharki from Khanpur Mahar when it suddenly caught fire near Ghotki, tv channels reported.

The blaze caused panic among passengers, leaving one woman dead on the spot and five others injured. Rescue team reached at the scene and shifted the deceased and injured to a nearby hospital.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
