Women empowerment stands atop priorities of incumbent AJK govt: Rathore:

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 30th Mar, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has reaffirmed his government's resolve to continue taking all possible steps for the empowerment of women in AJK.

?He further stated that empowering women and providing them with maximum opportunities to participate in the political process were among the PPP's key priorities.

Faisal asserted that his Pakistan Peoples Party AJK stands as a grassroots' party in which women have always played a crucial role to secure and safeguard due rights of the women folk at each level.

He expressed these remarks during a meeting with his party’s Women’s Wing President and former Deputy Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Ms. Shaheen Kausar Dar at JK House in the Federal metropolis on Sunday, reported by APP correspondent.

Rathore said that in view of the upcoming general elections in AJK it was essential to further strengthen and organize the Women’s Wing so that it can play a full role in the party’s success.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on making the Women’s Wing more active and effective, strengthening party organization, and enhancing its role across Azad Kashmir in the context of the upcoming elections.?

Ms. Shaheen Kausar Dar congratulated the Prime Minister on performing Umrah.? She also briefed the Prime Minister on the party’s organizational structure and its activities, stating that the organizational process across AJK will soon be completed.
