Women help desks established across DI Khan police facilities

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Women Help Desks, Police Facilitation Center and the Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) have been established at all police stations in the City Circle to improve access to support and complaint handling for women.

The initiative has been launched by SP City Muhammad Nauman under the directives of Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Mekan. The Primary objective of the initiative is to provide women with a safe, respectful, and accessible environment at police facilities where they can report issues without hesitation and receive prompt assistance.

According to police spokesman, the help desks will focus on listening to women’s concerns effectively, ensuring swift redressal of complaints, and facilitating a supportive atmosphere within police premises.

SP City Muhammad Nauman directed the staff assigned to these desks to treat complainants with courtesy, empathy, and professionalism, and to prioritize all cases involving women.

He noted that the establishment of these desks is a significant step toward addressing women’s issues in a timely and effective manner. The Dera Police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring women’s safety and resolving their concerns through all available means.
