Women’s education is foundation of development, prosperity of any society: DC

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Harnai Arshad Hussain Jamali on Wednesday said that women’s education was the foundation of the development and prosperity of any society.

He said this while chairing a meeting regarding the PMU-BESP Scholarships Guidance Program. The meeting was attended by the Principal Degree College, representatives of PMU and concerned authorities.

The meeting reviewed in detail the steps taken to provide higher educational opportunities to the female students of Balochistan and to make them benefit from scholarships in the country’s leading educational institutions.

During the meeting, the PMU representatives gave a detailed briefing on various aspects of the scholarship program and said that the aim of this program is to provide financial and educational assistance to the deserving and talented female students of Balochistan so that they could pursue higher education and make their future bright.

The participants were informed about the admission procedure, eligibility criteria, application submission steps and facilities provided to the female students.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Harnai said that the female students of Balochistan have immense potential and the government is taking all possible steps for their educational development.

He directed the concerned institutions to further intensify the awareness campaign regarding the scholarship program so that female students from remote and backward areas could also take full advantage of these opportunities.

He stressed that through the provision of educational facilities and awareness raising, women would be enabled to play an effective role in national development.

The meeting also expressed the resolve that all available resources would be utilized to provide quality education and a bright future to the female students of Balochistan.
