The speakers further underscored that reducing environmental pollution is a shared responsibility and warned that failure to take meaningful action today could leave future generations facing severe environmental consequences.

On the occasion, a protective flood-control embankment constructed to safeguard Juma Sharif village, surrounding settlements, and agricultural lands from flood threats was formally inaugurated. The project is expected to provide significant protection to local communities and farmlands against potential flood-related losses.

The residents of the area appreciated the construction of the embankment and the organization of the World Environment Day awareness event, expressing gratitude to Sarhad Rural Support Programme and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund for their efforts. They described the initiative as a positive step toward community development, environmental protection, and public welfare.
