World Immunization Week observed in Shaheed Benazirabad

World Immunization Week is being observed in District Shaheed Benazirabad, like the rest of the country, and in this regard, the Health Department organized an awareness rally to educate parents about the importance of vaccinations

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) World Immunization Week is being observed in District Shaheed Benazirabad, like the rest of the country, and in this regard, the Health Department organized an awareness rally to educate parents about the importance of vaccinations. The rally was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Saddam Hussain Memon and District Health Officer Dr. Mudassir Hussain. Rally commenced from Mother and Child Healthcare Center and proceeded to the main gate.

Addressing the participants, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saddam Hussain Memon said that World Immunization Week is being observed in Pakistan as well as globally, with the aim of protecting children from various diseases. He appealed parents to cooperate with nearby health centers and visiting teams to ensure their children receive vaccinations and remain protected from diseases.

He said that Health Department is doing commendable work in this regard and urged citizens to vaccinate their children without fear. On the occasion, District Health Officer Dr. Mudassir Hussain said that World Immunization Week is being observed from April 24 to April 30 in Shaheed Benazirabad, during which children are being vaccinated against diseases such as rubella, polio, typhoid, measles, whooping cough, tetanus, meningitis, tuberculosis, and others. He also appealed public to cooperate with health teams.A large number of health officials, staff, and lady health workers participated the rally.
