WSSC Teams active after rainfall in Dera Ismail Khan

Following recent rainfall in the city, the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Dera Ismail Khan promptly mobilized its field teams to manage rainwater accumulation and maintain sanitation services, officials said on Friday

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Following recent rainfall in the city, the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Dera Ismail Khan promptly mobilized its field teams to manage rainwater accumulation and maintain sanitation services, officials said on Friday.

According to a WSSC spokesperson, operational staff were deployed immediately after the downpour to clear water from roads and low-lying areas, ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimizing inconvenience to residents. The drainage process was carried out on an emergency basis in multiple localities.

“Teams remained active during and after the rain to address water logging issues,” the official stated, adding that workers were also engaged in removing blockages from drains and sewer lines to maintain the uninterrupted flow of rainwater.

“Obstructions in nullahs and street drains were cleared on priority to prevent overflow and urban flooding,” he added.

The spokesperson emphasized that the department was fully prepared to respond to weather-related challenges and would continue monitoring the situation.
