WSSP disposes 5500 tons of animal waste on first day of Eid-ul-Azha

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) Eid-ul-Adha cleanliness operation continues on the second day.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, about 5,500 tons of waste were collected from 42 union councils on the first day.

The process of providing drinking water is also ongoing.

About 4,000 personnel are participating in the cleanliness operation. Along with cleaning, sprinkling and spraying are also being done.

At the end of the first day's operation, the collection points were washed and lime was applied. Citizens are requested to dispose waste only at designated places.
