Youm-e-Takbeer symbol of national strength and unity: Zulfiqar Ali Shah

MIRPURKHAS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah on Thursday said that Youm-e-Takbeer marked a golden chapter in Pakistan’s history, providing the country with an invincible defence capability and a dignified standing among the nations of the world.

In his message on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, the minister said Pakistan is a vibrant and peace-loving nation that never compromises on its cultural values, sovereignty and national integrity. He termed the achievement of nuclear capability not only a major defence milestone but also international recognition of the remarkable abilities of Pakistani scientists, engineers and experts.

Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah paid tribute to the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, describing him as the visionary founder of Pakistan’s nuclear programme whose farsighted leadership made the country’s defence impregnable.

He also lauded the services of scientists and engineers who played a key role in successfully completing the nuclear programme.

The minister said the land of Sindh has always promoted the values of peace, tolerance and patriotism through the teachings of Sufi saints. He emphasized that Youm-e-Takbeer conveys the message of unity, national solidarity and self-confidence, urging the nation to work collectively for a peaceful, progressive and enlightened Pakistan while safeguarding the country’s cultural heritage and historical assets.
