Young man shot dead in Mira Muzaffar Abbottabad, police launch investigation

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) A young man was shot dead in the Maira Muzaffar area of Abbottabad by unknown assailants .

According to police sources, information was received on Rescue 15 that a dead body of a young man, killed in a firing incident, was lying in the Mira Muzaffar area under the jurisdiction of Mirpur Police Station.

Upon receiving the report, Mirpur Police immediately reached the scene, took custody of the body, and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem examination after completing necessary legal procedures.

The deceased was later identified as Bilal, son of Mushtaq. On the complaint of the victim’s brother, Hamza son of Mushtaq, police registered a case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unknown suspects.

The complainant stated in his report that he does not currently suspect anyone in connection with the murder.

Police said it is too early to determine the motive behind the killing, and investigations are underway from multiple angles to trace and arrest the culprits.
