Youth empowerment top priority of govt: Rana Mashood

Chairman of Prime Minister (PM)’s Youth Programme Rana Mashood has said that the empowerment of the youth is the foremost priority of the present government

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Chairman of Prime Minister (PM)’s Youth Programme Rana Mashood has said that the empowerment of the youth is the foremost priority of the present government.

He said that the Prime Minister Muhammed Shehbaz Sharif had a vision to uplift the youth of the country.

While speaking during his different engagements including LOI Ceremony with Memon Federation at the Governor House on Friday, he emphasized the need for educating and equipping the youth with modern technological subjects and skills.

Rana Mashood said that around 70 percent population of the country accounted for the youth.

He said that sports avenues were being created for the youth to compete in various sports events.

The PM's Youth Programme Chairman said that the opportunities were being created for the youth under the Digital Youth Hub and the youth could register themselves on the hub to avail opportunities.

Highlighting Pakistan's efforts for peace and reaching a ceasefire between US and Iran, he said that Pakistan had play a vital role and facilitating peace talks.

He also spoke about digitalization and other initiatives of the government.
