Youth killed over putting resistance during dacoity

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A 24-year-old youth was shot dead by unidentified accused over putting resistance during mobile

phone snatching attempt on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, an emergency call regarding a firing incident was received, following which an ambulance team was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Eyewitnesses told rescuers that the youngster was standing outside his shop and talking on his mobile phone when two armed suspects on a motorcycle approached him and attempted to snatch the phone.

The victim reportedly resisted the robbery, upon which the assailants opened fire and fled.

As a result of the firing, the youth sustained critical bullet injury and died on the spot.

Police reached the incident and launched investigation. Forensic experts also collected evidence from the spot.

After completion of legal formalities, the body was shifted to Nishtar hospital Multan for postmortem.
