Zero tolerance for aerial firing, one wheeling during Eid: CPO

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has urged citizens to strictly avoid illegal activities such as aerial firing, one-wheeling, and hooliganism on the auspicious occassion of Eid ul Fitr.

CPO issued an important message on Eid-ul-Fitr, calling on the public to celebrate the festival with responsibility and fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and order.

He stressed that while Eid is a time of joy and festivity, it must be celebrated in a disciplined manner to avoid any untoward incidents.

He also encouraged citizens to actively discourage unlawful activities in their surroundings and play their role in maintaining a peaceful environment.

Hamdani assured that Rawalpindi Police is fully alert and operational during the Eid holidays, with special security arrangements in place across the city to safeguard citizens and facilitate them.

He reiterated that public cooperation is essential for maintaining law and order, urging people to act responsibly so that everyone can enjoy a safe and peaceful Eid celebration.
