LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) In line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s development agenda, Secretary Housing Punjab Noor Ul Amin Mengal conducted a surprise visit to ongoing development projects in Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib, reviewing the progress of sewerage system upgradation works.
During the visit, WASA officials briefed him on the pace and status of work. The secretary emphasized the need to further improve both the quality and speed of development activities to ensure timely completion.
He directed Quality Assurance Committees to carry out regular surprise inspections and submit daily reports on project progress.
Instructions were also issued to maximize nighttime work in order to accelerate the pace of development.
Noor Ul Amin Mengal stressed that all projects must be completed before the onset of the monsoon season to prevent inconvenience to the public.
He warned that strict action would be taken against officers showing negligence or poor performance, reiterating that a zero-tolerance policy is being implemented under the directions of the Chief Minister.
The secretary further assured that all hurdles affecting development work would be removed on a priority basis to ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects.
