Zero tolerance on timeline, quality material in Murree projects ordered

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi on Monday said that developmental projects across the district must be completed within stipulated timelines according to premium quality metrics, warning that substandard material usage or unnecessary delays will not be tolerated.

Presiding over a high-level review meeting, Shirazi evaluated ongoing development infrastructure, civic amenities, water supply, and public services. He commended the sanitation staff for maintaining cleanliness under the "Suthra Punjab" campaign even during Sunday holidays and ordered enhanced monitoring across entry points, tourist sites, and public parks to preserve the hill station's aesthetic environment.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the Medical Superintendent of the District Headquarters Hospital Murree to ensure abundant availability of life-saving medicines, fully functional medical equipment, and optimal attendance of doctors and paramedical staff.

Additionally, WASA authorities were ordered to streamline water distribution frameworks to ensure uninterrupted supply during the peak tourism season.

Municipal Corporation and Parks and Horticulture Authority were also ordered to sustain anti-encroachment operations and plantation campaigns.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), AC Murree, MD WASA and health officials attended the meeting.
