Ziaullah for provision of security to public on Eid

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langov on Thursday said that it is our responsibility to provide complete security to the public on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

He said this while presiding over a meeting to review law and order situation here and the arrangements for the security of people during the festivity.

The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police Prisons, Saeed Ahmed, Additional Inspector General of Police, Agha Yousaf, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Quetta, DIG Counter Terrorism Department, Aitzaz Guriya and other officials.

The meeting reviewed the security steps taken for Chand Raat and during Eid period.

Additional Chief Secretary Home, Hamza Shafqat briefed the meeting regarding law and order situation.

He briefed about various steps being taken to improve law and order situation in the province, and apprise the meeting members regarding the security of Eidgahs and Imambargahs.

The Home Minister said that security forces were fighting terrorism with bravery and courage for maintaining peace.

He said sacrifices of the security forces in preventing terrorism could not be forgotten.

The Minister also urged for further strengthening the police capabilities to counter terrorism. He added that no negligence would be tolerated regarding security. He informed that all law enforcement agencies including the Pakistan Army, FC and Police are playing their role in the war against terrorism.

The Minister also directed all districts to ensure implementation of security of citizens.
