MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) The Punjab government has appointed Zulfiqar Ahmad as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC), and he assumed charge of his responsibilities on Tuesday.
Soon after taking office, Zulfiqar Ahmad chaired a meeting with senior officials and was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing cleanliness and sanitation operations across the city.
The meeting was attended by Company Secretary Kabir Khan, Head of Operations Anwar-ul-Haq, Manager HR Muhammad Aamir, and other departmental heads.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly appointed CEO said that all available resources would be utilised to make the city’s sanitation system exemplary.
He added that contractor companies have been assigned specific targets to ensure public relief and improve service delivery.
Zulfiqar Ahmad pledged to prioritise improvements in the waste management system to meet citizens’ expectations. He also directed all stakeholders to enhance their performance to strengthen the company’s operational efficiency.
He further announced that awareness campaigns would be launched in collaboration with traders and the general public to promote cleanliness across the city.
