1,300 traffic wardens deployed for Eid days

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The City Traffic Police (CTP) have issued a comprehensive traffic management plan for Eid-ul-Fitr and deployed more than 1,300 traffic wardens to perform duties across the city for ensuring smooth flow of vehicular traffic and public safety during the festive days.

CTP spokesman said that more than 74 special squads would remain active at different sites to curb reckless driving and one-wheeling. Over-speeding and dangerous driving would not be tolerated under any circumstances, he added.

He urged the people to celebrate Eid responsibly by strictly adhering to traffic rules and regulations.

He said that sufficient traffic personnel were deployed at all major intersections, roads and recreational points to manage congestion and facilitate parking arrangements while special arrangements have also been made outside cemeteries to manage expected rush during Eid days.

A dedicated traffic control room has been established for Eid and the people can contact the traffic helpline 1915 in case of any inconvenience or emergency, he added.
