ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) In a heartening and magnificently organized ceremony, 112 deserving couples on Monday were respectfully sent off in Attock under the Punjab Government’s welfare initiative, the “Dhee Rani” programme. The grand yet graceful event was attended by District Police Officer Attock, Sardar Mavarhan Khan, alongside prominent political and social representatives.

While congratulating the newlyweds, the DPO warmly praised the Punjab Government for launching such a visionary and compassionate initiative. He stated that the programme not only supports underprivileged families but also significantly strengthens social cohesion.

Furthermore, he emphasized that collective welfare efforts are crucial for building a stable society; therefore, initiatives like “Dhee Rani” deserve widespread appreciation.

The ceremony was conducted smoothly and efficiently; meanwhile, guests and families expressed their gratitude for the dignified arrangements. In addition, the event provided essential support to families who might otherwise struggle to bear wedding expenses.

Attock Police, however, remained fully vigilant throughout the occasion and ensured foolproof security measures. Notably, traffic management was handled effectively to facilitate participants and visitors.
