13 POs held,stolen vehicle recovered

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Police on Monday arrested 13 proclaimed offenders (POs) and recovered a stolen vehicle during the past week through the effective use of modern surveillance tools, a police spokesperson said on Monday.

According to details, the operations were conducted under the special directives of the District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha with intensified monitoring of suspicious elements and criminal networks across the district using digital platforms including E-Police Post,Travel Eye and Smart Eye.

The spokesperson said more than 145,000 individuals were screened during the last week to maintain law and order and ensure effective policing.

He added that over 134,000 persons were verified through the E-Police Post application alone, resulting in the arrest of 13 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

In addition,the travel Eye and Smart Eye systems were deployed at bus stands and hotels, where records of more than 12,000 individuals were checked.

The spokesperson said the purpose of these digital verifications was to curb the movement of suspicious persons and maintain a peaceful environment in the district through technology-driven policing.
