1808 Ticket-less passengers fined,Rs.1.94m recovered

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) 1808 ticket-less passengers were fined and Rs1,936,280 (around Rs1.94 million) was recovered during a crackdown against fare evasion in Pakistan Railways’ Multan Division from March 13 to March 29, 2026.

The campaign was launched under the vision of the Federal Minister for Railways to enforce discipline and protect revenue, on the directives of DS Multan Muhammad Hanif Gul and under the supervision of DCO Multan.

Railway authorities said that the operation aimed to curb ticket-less travel and ensure strict compliance with rules while safeguarding the department’s revenue.

Officials reiterated that ticket-less travel will not be tolerated and such enforcement drives will continue.

Passengers were urged to ensure valid ticketing and support the strengthening of the national institution.
