24 outlaws arrested

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) In various operations, 24 suspects were arrested, and a large quantity of liquor, drugs, and illegal weapons was recovered.

According to an official press release issued by the District Police Office Bahawalpur here, the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements is being further intensified.

As per details, police teams from Kotwali, Abbas Nagar, City Ahmadpur East, Saddar Ahmadpur East, Uch Sharif, and City Hasilpur carried out effective operations, arresting seven individuals involved in liquor trafficking and recovering 200 liters of alcohol from their possession.

Similarly, tightening the noose around drug dealers, police from Civil Lines, Kotwali, Saddar Bahawalpur, Abbas Nagar, Dhor Kot, Nowshera Jadid, City Yazman, Saddar Yazman, Derawar, and Khairpur Tamiwali arrested 11 suspects and recovered nine kilograms and 130 grams of hashish along with 560 grams of crystal meth (ice).

Meanwhile, taking action against illegal weapons, police from Civil Lines, Musafirkhana, Channi Goth, City Yazman, Derawar, and Khairpur Tamiwali arrested six suspects and recovered six unlicensed 30-bore pistols from them.

Separate cases have been registered against all arrested individuals, and investigations are currently underway.
