Woman shot dead by husband in domestic dispute

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) A woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband following a domestic dispute near Dhok Sheikhan in the vicinity of Sarwala Union Council, police and family sources said.

According to police sources, the tragic incident occurred when the accused reportedly arrived at his in-laws’ house in an attempt to reconcile with his estranged wife and take her back home.

Family members stated that the woman refused to accompany him, which enraged the suspect.

In a fit of anger, the husband allegedly opened fire on his wife, leaving her critically injured. She succumbed to her injuries on the spot before any medical assistance could save her.

Police reached the scene after being informed and shifted the body for medico-legal formalities. A search has been launched for the accused, who fled the scene after the incident. Further investigation is underway.
