43 farmers selected in laser land leveler draw in Sargodha

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) A transparent draw for distribution of laser land levelers was held in Sargodha under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz Sharif,officials said on Friday.

According to details,the draw was conducted under the agro-progressive initiative of the Irrigation Reform Department, through which 43 farmers were selected out of more than 350 applicants across the district.

The process was jointly completed by Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) Headquarters Muhammad Arshad Wattoo and PML-N Divisional President Chaudhry Shah Nawaz Ranjha.

Officials said the selected farmers will be provided laser land levelers to improve water conservation,land leveling and per-acre productivity.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said the government is taking practical steps for farmers’ welfare and agricultural growth through modern machinery.

Ranjha said that the initiative reflects the chief minister’s farmer-friendly vision, adding that transparent distribution ensures merit and fairness.

Farmers welcomed the initiative,terming it a positive step towards reducing cultivation costs and improving agricultural output.
