72,071 Pakistani pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia; remaining expected by May 21

MAKKAH MUKRRAMAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) A total of 72,071 Pakistani pilgrims, representing 61% of the total Hajj quota, have arrived in Saudi Arabia via 282 flights from various cities across Pakistan. According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, these arrivals include flights operated under the "Route to Makkah" initiative, with 143 flights landing directly in Madinah and 139 flights at Jeddah airport.

The remaining 39% of pilgrims are expected to reach the Kingdom by May 21 as the flight operation continues according to the designated schedule.

Currently, 67,887 pilgrims are stationed in Makkah, while 4,184 are present in Madinah. To facilitate the movement of pilgrims from airports to their respective accommodations, the Ministry has deployed 1,320 assistants and volunteers on the ground.

These teams are working to ensure a smooth transition for all arrivals, with the Ministry confirming that the remaining portion of the operation will be completed within the specified timeframe.
