SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Daska Sadia Jaffar, a crackdown was carried out against shops, markets and shopping malls violating official closing timings under the Punjab government’s austerity policy.
According to official details, during the last 10 days, 87 shops were sealed, fines of Rs311,000 were imposed, and two cases were registered.
Assistant Commissioner Sadia Jaffar said that government orders were being strictly implemented and no leniency would be shown to violators. She added that due to the country’s energy situation, fixed closing timings had been set and their strict compliance was being ensured.
