A drug supplier sentenced to nine years

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) A local court on Thursday sentenced a drug supplier to nine years in prison and fined Rs. 80,000.

According to the details, convict Riaz was arrested by City Police in 2025 after police recovered 1.2Kg of charas from his possession.

Strong evidence and diligent case follow-up led the court to deliver a firm verdict.

City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani lauded the SSP Investigation, investigative, and legal teams for their role in securing the conviction.

Authorities said all necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the menace of drugs from the city, emphasizing continued vigilance and enforcement.
