Abbottabad holds mock rescue exercise, DC stresses joint emergency response system

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) A rescue training session and mock exercise for Civil Defence volunteers was organized under the supervision of the District Administration Abbottabad in collaboration with Rescue Services and Civil Defence.

The exercise was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief and Human Rights Amanullah Saeed and Rescue Emergency Officer Abbottabad Hafez-ur-Rehman and other officials.

During the exercise, Rescue Services, Civil Defence and Alkhidmat Foundation demonstrated professional skills through a simulated water rescue operation.

Volunteers and responders showcased coordinated emergency response techniques in a practical demonstration.

The DC appreciated the performance of Rescue Services, Civil Defence and Alkhidmat Foundation, praising their professional capabilities in handling emergencies.

He expressed hope that in any emergency, Rescue Services and Civil Defence would work in close coordination with all relevant departments and citizens to ensure the timely protection of human lives and effective response to crises.
