Abbottabad police deploy heavy force, CCTV monitoring across district for Easter security

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) On the occasion of Easter, Abbottabad Police have implemented strict and effective security arrangements throughout the district, with additional personnel deployed at all churches, worship sites, and key locations.

According to police officials, checking processes at entry and exit points have been significantly intensified. SDPOs and SHOs are personally supervising security measures within their respective jurisdictions.

At sensitive locations, monitoring is being conducted through walk-through gates, metal detectors, and CCTV cameras.

Bomb Disposal Squad teams are also carrying out sweeping operations at various sites to prevent any untoward incident.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad has instructed all relevant officers to perform their duties with full responsibility and diligence while ensuring courteous behavior with citizens. "Ensuring the protection of the Christian community during their religious festival is the top priority of the police," the DPO stated.
