Abbottabad traffic police launch crackdown on tinted windows, illegal black films in vehicles

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) In light of the prevailing security situation, the Abbottabad Traffic Police have intensified their crackdown against vehicles using tinted windows and illegal black films.

Checkpoints have been established at multiple locations across the district to ensure strict enforcement. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic, Muhammad Ishtiaq formed a dedicated teams working under the supervision of Circle Deputy Superintendents of Police which has carried out detailed inspections of vehicles on major roads.

During these checks, vehicles with tinted glasses and illegal black films are being stopped, and legal action is being taken against violators.

According to a Traffic Police spokesperson, tinted windows pose potential security risks, prompting indiscriminate enforcement against their use. Violators are being fined, and in several cases, illegal black films have been removed from vehicles on the spot.

SSP Traffic Muhammad Ishtiaq has urged citizens to strictly follow traffic regulations and avoid using illegal tinted windows, stressing that public cooperation was essential to maintaining law and order. He added that compliance not only supports security efforts but also ensures safer and smoother travel for drivers.
