AC Havalian inspects Khokhar Mera sawmills, orders strict monitoring

HAVELIAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Assistant Commissioner-II Sameera Mehsud carried out a detailed inspection of timber warehouses, sawmills,

and wood-cutting activities in the Khokhar Mera area.

Under the provincial government’s Good Governance Road-map and on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, the inspection was conducted as part of ongoing measures against indiscriminate deforestation and timber smuggling.

During the visit, all necessary documents, permits, and records were thoroughly checked. The concerned individuals were directed to ensure that the buying and selling of timber is carried out strictly according to the law and that all forest and environmental regulations are fully implemented.

Furthermore, orders were issued for continuous monitoring of the area to ensure compliance with legal requirements and protection of forests.
