ADC reviews price magistrates performance

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Naeem Bashir chaired a meeting to review

performance of price magistrates.

Assistant commissioners and price magistrates from all four tehsils attended the meeting.

The participants were briefed on last month’s performance, focusing on efforts to ensure

availability of essential items at government-notified rates and action against profiteers.

The ADC informed that during March, a total of 88,071 inspections were conducted in Sialkot

district. Overcharging was detected in 8,116 cases, while 13,155 violators were issued warnings

and 1,454 were fined. A total fine of Rs 3.844 million was imposed. Moreover, one FIR was

registered, 18 shops were sealed and 29 persons were arrested during the crackdown.
