RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Rawalpindi, Maliha Sehar has directed all price control magistrates to ensure their presence in the field and take indiscriminate action against profiteering and hoarding.

She issued these instructions while chairing a meeting of price checking magistrates held in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner Office to review price control measures across the district.

The meeting was attended by assistant commissioners of all tehsils, price control magistrates, and other relevant officials.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the prices of essential commodities, ongoing price checking campaigns, action taken against profiteering, and the implementation of official rate lists in markets across Rawalpindi.

The performance of different tehsils was also evaluated, and further steps were discussed to ensure relief for the general public.

ADCG Maliha Sehar emphasized that providing essential commodities to citizens at official rates is the top priority of the district administration. She made it clear that no negligence or laxity would be tolerated in this regard.

She further directed officials to ensure continuous monitoring of markets, strict enforcement of price lists, and immediate resolution of public complaints to provide maximum relief to citizens.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen price control mechanisms and ensure the availability of essential commodities at regulated rates across the district.
