AIOU to sets up hybrid mode international conference on early childhood education, on April 7

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will host the Fifth International Conference on Early Childhood Development here on April 7–8.

The central theme of the conference is “Investing in Early Childhood Development: Building Human Capital.”

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend both online and in person. This approach will enable broad participation from national and international experts, researchers, educators and policymakers.

According to Conference Secretary Dr Tooba Saleem, the event aims to highlight the importance of early childhood education and development, promote the exchange of modern research and experiences and explore effective strategies for the holistic development of children.

She added that adopting hybrid and blended modes will not only increase accessibility for participants but also align with government energy conservation policies.

To increase virtual participation, the university will provide live streaming of sessions, interactive panel discussions and online networking opportunities.

Key government officials are expected to attend the opening and closing ceremonies, while various sessions will cover important topics such as early childhood education, health, nutrition and psychological development.
