AJK PM Faisal Rathore to visit Mirpur on May 2 for two-day official tour

During the visit, he will review and inaugurate a series of public welfare and development projects aimed at improving civic infrastructure and services

MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, is scheduled to arrive in Mirpur on May 2 for his first-ever two-day official visit to the district. During the visit, he will review and inaugurate a series of public welfare and development projects aimed at improving civic infrastructure and services.

The visit arrangements were finalised during a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Mirpur Division Raja Tahir Mumtaz Khan. The meeting reviewed administrative, security and logistical preparations to ensure smooth conduct of the Prime Minister’s engagements.

Senior officials from various departments, including police, health, electricity, local government, education and development authorities, attended the session. They were tasked with ensuring readiness for review meetings, project inaugurations and foundation stone-laying ceremonies scheduled during the visit.

Authorities have been directed to complete all necessary arrangements and coordination in advance, as the visit is expected to focus on accelerating development initiatives and addressing key public service sectors in the region.
