Makkah, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, has issued a comprehensive and critical awareness guideline regarding the ritual animal sacrifice (Qurbani) and the performance of Hajj rites for 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims currently stationed in Makkah.

The advisory aimed to keep the pilgrims fully informed of all procedural matters during Hajj days (10th Dhul Hijjah) in strict compliance with Saudi laws to safeguard them against any inconvenience.

Ministry of Religious Affairs Spokesperson, Umar Butt, emphasized strict adherence to three paramount operational aspects finalized for the convenience and safety of the pilgrims. In accordance with Saudi regulations, the time slots for performing the ritual of pelting the devil (Rami) at Jamarat on 10th Dhul Hijjah have been specifically segregated and allocated for each Maktab.

All pilgrims under the Government Hajj Scheme were required to head to the Jamarat strictly in organized groups under the leadership of their respective group supervisor (Nazim). Each Nazim has been legally bound to ensure that their assigned group executes the Rami ritual strictly within the designated time matrix.

The authorized Saudi entity responsible for the ritual slaughter has fixed the deadline for the Government Hajj Scheme pilgrims' Qurbani up to 6:00 pm on the first day of Eid (10th Dhul Hijjah). Keeping this definitive timeframe in view, all pilgrims have been strongly directed to make every possible effort to complete their first-day Rami well before the 6:00 pm deadline.

To maintain the correct, lawful sequence of the Hajj rituals, the Pakistan Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) has issued explicit directives that all government scheme pilgrims must perform Halq (shaving the head) or Qasr (trimming the hair) only after 6:00 pm on 10th Dhul Hijjah. Pilgrims must exit the state of Ihram and its restrictions only after this designated time.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs had made a fervent appeal to all Hajj pilgrims to strictly abide by these official guidelines to support international crowd management and ensure their personal safety during their stay in Makkah.
