All major roads in Murree remain open, traffic flow smoothly during Eid

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) Strict traffic management measures have been put in place in Murree as a steady influx of tourists continues on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

More than 200 personnel of the City Traffic Police have been deployed to ensure smooth flow of traffic and facilitate both tourists and local residents.

Chief Traffic Officer Murree, Imran Razaq is personally monitoring key roads and traffic to maintain safe and hassle-free travel.

According to the traffic police spokesperson, all major roads in Murree remain open and traffic flow is normal. However, motorcyclists without helmets are not being allowed to enter the hill station as part of safety measures.

Tourists have been urged to strictly follow traffic rules, and park their vehicles only at designated parking areas to prevent congestion and accidents.

Officials said continuous patrolling is being carried out to eliminate illegal parking and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow. In addition, the public is being regularly updated about the traffic situation in Murree through electronic media and the official social media platforms of the traffic police.
