Ambassador Asim Ahmad visits indisposed journalist Masood Haider, prays for quick recovery

NEW YORK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Pakistan's UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad Wednesday visited the residence of veteran journalist Masood Haider, who has been ailing for the past couple of years.

The ambassador prayed for the early restoration of his health.

He also commended the work he did as a journalist during his long career.

Haider, who represented Dawn in New York for many years, headed the United Nations Correspondents' Association (UNCA) in 2006.

Ambassador Asim Ahmad was accompanied by Amanat Ali, press counsellor at the Pakistan Mission to the UN.
