RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) Punjab Minister for Communications and Works, Sohaib Ahmed Bherth has said that the newly completed signal-free corridor in Rawalpindi marks a major milestone in the city’s traffic management system, enabling the smooth flow of over 200,000 vehicles daily and providing significant relief from traffic congestion.

The Minister described the project as a modern infrastructure initiative designed to bring lasting improvement to traffic conditions in one of Rawalpindi’s most densely populated urban areas.

He said the corridor would ensure uninterrupted movement for more than two hundred thousand vehicles each day, significantly reducing traffic jams and saving valuable commuting time for citizens.

He added that the project represents a key development milestone in Rawalpindi’s urban growth, offering modern travel facilities while also improving and streamlining the city’s transport network.
