SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Sunday announced that a four-day anti-polio campaign would be launched across the district from April 13 to 16, aiming to vaccinate over 696,000 children under five years of age.
While presiding over a meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming drive, the deputy commissioner was informed that a target of 696,942 children has been set for the immunization campaign across 167 Union Councils.
The meeting was attended by officials from the health Department, World Health Organization (WHO), Rotary Club, and other relevant departments.
The DC directed the health authorities to finalize micro-planning and complete the training of all field teams to ensure 100 percent coverage.
He emphasized that no child should be left unvaccinated and teams must visit every household to achieve the set target.
