Anti-polio drive to commence on Monday

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) A four-day anti-polio campaign would commence across the Sargodha division from Monday, April 13 and continue till April 16 to vaccinate more than 1.54 million children against the crippling disease.

According to Health department,a target of administering polio drops and Vitamin A supplements to 1,543,868 children was set for the division,while all necessary arrangements have been finalized.

A total of 7,589 teams were constituted, including 6,966 mobile teams, 424 fixed teams, and 199 transit teams.

As many as 322 Union Council Medical Officers and 1,366 Area Incharges would supervise the field activities to ensure maximum coverage,while a workforce of 15,022 personnel would perform their duties during the campaign, comprising 7,451 volunteers and 6,612 officials from the health department.
