Appointments of chairmen in Punjab education boards after exams

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) It has been decided to make appointments of chairman and other important administrative posts in education boards across the Punjab after exams.

Higher Education Department sources told APP, appointments will be made to all posts simultaneously so that the administrative affairs of the boards can be run effectively.

Sources say that the process of interviews for the posts of chairman has been completed, in which a total of 264 candidates were reviewed for 9 education boards.

Interviews will also start soon for the posts of controllers and secretaries, while the process of screening the applications of the candidates is underway.

The Higher Education Department has received about one thousand applications for various posts, due to which the appointment process is being completed in a phased manner.

According to sources, the new appointments will improve the administrative structure of education boards and help make the examination system more transparent and effective.
