Arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha reviewed to facilitate citizens

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) A meeting was held with Deputy Commissioner Bannu Muhammad Faheem in the chair to review arrangement for Eid-ul-Azha.

The meeting attended by officials from various government departments reviewed arrangements related to sanitation, security, traffic management, and public facilities during the Eid holidays.

He issued special directives to departments concerned including TMAs and WSSC to ensure effective cleanliness measures across the city and the timely disposal of animal waste during Eid-ul-Azha.

The DC said that no compromise would be made on sanitation arrangements during the festive days.

A strict stance was also taken regarding transport fares, with instructions issued to ensure implementation of the officially approved fare list.

The administration warned that strict action would be taken against bus stand owners and drivers found overcharging passengers.

To facilitate and protect women during Eid, it was decided that lady constables would be deployed at designated public locations.

In addition, a special traffic management plan has been finalized to maintain smooth traffic flow across the city.

The meeting also stressed the importance of cleaning and beautifying parks and other public places.

Reviewing the overall law and order situation, police and relevant departments were directed to remain on high alert throughout the Eid holidays.

The DC instructed all concerned departments to provide maximum facilities to people during Eid-ul-Azha and ensure that cleanliness and discipline are maintained at all costs.
