RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Umar Awais Kayani, along with Assistant Commissioner Captain (R) Arshad Iqbal and PDMA officials, conducted a detailed visit to various areas of Darya Gali to review damage caused by recent rains and landslides in Murree.
During the visit, the ADC (R) reviewed the condition of basic facilities, link roads, residential structures, and potential landslide risks in the affected areas.
He directed relevant departments to prepare a comprehensive damage report and accelerate relief operations to ensure timely assistance to affected residents.
Emphasizing immediate measures, he instructed authorities to improve the drainage system, clear debris without delay, and restore road access to facilitate movement in the area.
He assured that the government would not leave the public alone in this difficult time and that all possible relief, protection, and rehabilitation support would be provided.
Officials stated that the district administration, PDMA, and other departments are fully mobilized and taking emergency steps to address rain-related damages.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Captain (R) Arshad Iqbal also paid an emergency visit to landslide-hit sites in Darya Gali, where he reviewed the situation and directed departments to provide immediate relief to affected residents. He stressed the need for preventive measures to minimize risks from potential future landslides or heavy rainfall.
The Assistant Commissioner also listened to the concerns of local residents and issued on-the-spot instructions for their resolution, reaffirming that the district administration stands with affected families and is utilizing all available resources to ensure effective relief and rehabilitation.
