ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) The Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) Attock successfully completed its district-wide Eid-ul-Adha cleanliness operation, disposing of more than 3,200 tons of sacrificial animal waste and resolving all public complaints received during the three days of Eid, officials said on Saturday.
The large-scale sanitation campaign commenced on the eve of Eid and continued uninterrupted for four days. SPA teams carried out the collection, transportation and disposal of sacrificial waste across the district. Following the operation, temporary waste transfer stations were dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, sprinkled with rose water and treated with lime to eliminate foul odors and ensure hygiene. Similar measures were adopted at dumping sites, where burial pits were covered with lime to prevent environmental hazards.
Managing Director SPA Attock Anil Saeed, who visited various parts of the city on the third day of Eid, met sanitation workers and distributed sweets in recognition of their dedicated services. Speaking to media representatives, he termed the successful operation a practical reflection of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Suthra Punjab” vision.

More than 3,216 sanitation workers and 655 vehicles and machinery participated in the campaign, with all staff leaves cancelled to ensure uninterrupted services. Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza and Assistant Commissioner Arif Qureshi personally supervised the operation through regular field visits and inspections of transfer stations and the central control room. Anil Saeed praised the commitment of officers, field teams and sanitation workers, describing them as the real heroes of the campaign, and announced that outstanding performers would be honoured with certificates of appreciation. He also acknowledged the media’s role in creating public awareness and encouraging community cooperation throughout the cleanliness drive.
