ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) The Excise and Taxation Department Attock has collected over Rs370 million in taxes during the fiscal year, depositing the amount into the national exchequer, said Farrukh Saeed Butt on Monday.

Speaking to local media, the Excise and Taxation Officer said the department has streamlined its tax collection system to make it more convenient for citizens, while ensuring prompt resolution of public issues related to taxation. He added that facilitation measures have been introduced to improve efficiency and encourage compliance.

Providing a detailed breakdown, he said Rs178.447 million was collected under property tax, Rs168.969 million under motor vehicle tax, Rs10.188 million under highways tax, Rs17.254 million under professional tax, and Rs297,000 under excise tax.

Farrukh Saeed Butt reiterated the department’s commitment to enhancing revenue generation while maintaining transparency and ease for taxpayers, emphasizing that further improvements are being implemented to strengthen the system.
