Awareness Session Held on Protection Against Harassment at Workplace Act

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) A significant awareness session was held at Al Mahran Culture Sukkur City on Tuesday as part of an ongoing campaign to promote protection against harassment at workplace and create awareness about the relevant law. The session was the eighth program in a series initiated by the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh.

Consultant Muhammad Iqbal Arain briefed participants about the Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2010, emphasizing its scope and practical application. He stated that the law not only protects women but also mandates institutions to establish a safe and responsible environment.

Arain stressed that respecting women is both a legal obligation and a mark of a civilized society. He highlighted the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh's efforts to protect women's rights and provide prompt justice through awareness programs across the province.

The session aimed to empower women, promote transparency and encourage institutions to establish complaint committees and implement the law effectively. Participants resolved to protect women's rights and create a safe, peaceful, and progressive society.
